The car care industry is very traditional and forward thinking is not always appreciated. Eco Shine is rapidly changing this perception by introducing a new fully functional concept to the Scandinavian market. Our car care methods use the latest techniques that are most suited for each individual vehicle. We are proud ambassadors of the much publicised “waterless” technique and believe that this gives us the possibility to meet and exceed our strict 3 step environmental criteria. 

Minimal resources – The main resources used in car cleaning are water and energy. Eco Shine’s energy use is very low as the majority of the process is manual – a handwash. The main opportunity to reduce environmental impact is in the reduction of water. Following the traditional car washing guidelines of generous rinsing you can easily use up to 150L – 200L of clean drinking water, per wash. Automated car washes that recycle water, tend to use less water, but must use a variety of chemicals to treat the water. By adopting the waterless technique, Eco Shine’s water saving  capabilities are immense.

Minimal waste – There are a number of areas of potential waste for car cleaning; over application of products, treatment of dirty cloths and disposal of packaging are all areas to be addressed. But by far the largest waste area is the washing medium – water (loaded with chemicals, oils and contaminants). This waste water often runs into the storm drains and ends up in lakes, seas and ground water if a vehicle is cleaned on the street or drive way. By adopting the waterless technique for the majority of vehicles, this waste water “run off” is significantly reduced.

Environmentally friendly products – Many of the highest performing products contain harsh chemicals that can cause serious problems if they are spilt, inhaled or in some cases come in contact with skin. Eco Shine’s products have been specifically designed to be user safe and are non-toxic and biodegradable.
